1. Tell me about yourself ?
EX: I've just completed MBA/MCA/B.Tech in (Name of the discipline like civil,mechanical work) from
(Name of the institution & place). I've learnt good technical as well as communication skills during my college years.I enjoy watching sports like cricket,traveling and visiting new places,etc.
2. Tell me something about yourself that I don't find in your resume ?
EX: I'm quite resourceful,self-disciplined,confident and energetic.
3. How does your academic qualification make you suitable for the position you have applied for ?
EX: Certainly i'm suitable as I do have the necessary qualification and the required skill set that is essential
for this particular position.

4. Do you have any plans of continuing your education ?
EX: Not as a regular course work but I'l certainly try to update my knowledge back and the skills required
as I know how competitive today's market is.If I don't update myself,my knowledge will be outdated soon.So,definitely I plan to continue my education by doing some short-term courses that are relevant
to my field either through distance mode or on line.
5. what are your career goals ? or What are your career objectives/short-term and long-term goals ? or What type of position you looking for ?
EX:>> If you are an MCA--My short term goal is to become a programmer in a reputed s/w company but my long term goal would be to obtain a challenging position like an analyst or an architect(s/w) or a manager in a large s/w consulting organization where I can enhance my skills and meet
the challenges using my experience and technical know-how.
>>If you are an MBA--My short term goal is to become a management trainee in a reputed business organization and my long term goal would be manager or a CEO of a large establishment as by then
I'd have polished all my managerial skills and improved my business acumen and insights.
6. What are your plans to assume these goals ?
EX: First, I update myself as far as my technical know-how or subject knowledge is concerned.Next,I'm trying to home thou soft skills I learnt during my college years by taking an active interest and participating in co-curricular as well as extra curricular activities by reading different newspapers and
magazines and by watching,observing and analyzing the market trends.I'm also trying to involve myself
in some community service projects as that will help me build my self-esteem and ability to work in a team.I'm sure, with this kind of sincere committed zeal,I'l certainly reach my goal one day.
7. Where do you see yourself five years from now ?
EX: I'd be working as a manager or a senior executive in a large establishment like yours.
8. Do you prefer to work independently or in a team ?
EX: I'm comfortable both ways.I can be a part of a team,contributing my best to the completion of projects
and I can also work independently, doing my best.I can be at ease in both the situations.
9. Can you describe some of the qualities in you that make you a team player ?
EX: As a team player,one should have to the ability to get along with others.He should be friendly,pleasant and amiable in temperament.He should be able to give priority first and foremost only to the best interest
of the team as a whole without giving any fancies,ego clashes or personality conflicts that crop up normally in a team.I believe I know how to prioritize and the teams interests or the company's interests
will always be any focus and I'm quite good at maintaining good inter-personal relationships.
10. What motivates you ?
EX: For any human being,a sense of appreciation will always be a motivating factor.Next,a desire to excel
in one's own chosen field will motivate some love for work, a desire to be useful, a longing for sincere
appreciation above all a deep need for providing oneself are the motivating factors in the working life of anyone.
11. What interests you about us/company/organisation/institution?/Why are you interested in this job ?
EX:I'm interested in your company and in this job because I've always wanted to begin my career with a company like yours,known for its professional excellence,reliability,business ethics,maintenance of true
professionalism and employee welfare.And yours is a growing company and that has accelerated my interest.
12. What do you think differentiate us from our competitors ?
EX: Your company's experience and innovations combined with the user friendliness, reliability and quality of it's products and above all your business ethics and community service set your company quite apart from your competitions.
13. Are you applying for other positions in other companies ?
EX: Yes,of course,i did apply to two more organizations.
14. We are rather concerned that you do not have enough experience as compared to other candidates.But,
are you convinced that you are qualified and suitable for this position ?
EX: Surely,yes.Though I do not have the kind of experience you want me to have ,i'm confident that i can handle the work assigned to me. I've learnt the required skills while undertaking some projects during my college years.Since i'm very positive,pro-active and confident in approaching any issue,i'm sure i can handle this job as well.
15.Are you prepared to stay away from home because of work ?
EX: Yes,If my work demands that certainly my work should be the first priority and i can make the necessary adjustments at home in such a case.
16. Can you adapt yourself to change ? Can you give specific instances ?
EX: Yes,I can adapt myself to change as change is inevitable in life.Just as we have adapted ourselves to new environment in the city when we shifted from village to pursue good education.Similarly, we can adapt ourselves to new cultures,new working environment,different people with different customs etc.
17.What are your major weakness ?
EX: I can't stand people who are not punctual,who are indifferent to work and who always postpone things
and cause delay.They really get in my nerves.(This is just an example)
18.How did you identify it as your weakness ?
EX: As it affects my relationship with my peers and also members of my family.I realize that it is a kind of weakness as i cannot expect perfection from everyone.People are different and i just have to accept
them as they are,perhaps.
19.Are your technical skills are better than your people skills ?
EX: I'm equally good at both technical skills and people skills as both are important at work and my success
depends on balancing between these two skills.
20. How good are your communication skills ?
EX: Fairly good/Reasonably good.
I've been working on this quite for sometime as in today's competitive,global scenario,good communication skills perform a great role.
21. Are you a good listener ?
EX: Yes, if i'm not attentive,either there will be a communication gap or misunderstanding. So, i listen and pay attention to whatever others have to tell me.
